Norway Removals

About us

One route, organised around the part that goes wrong

Norway is outside the EU customs union and the single market. That single fact makes this a customs move rather than a long drive, and it is why the site is arranged the way it is.

Why categories rather than volume

Volume decides what a move costs. Category decides whether it moves at all, what has to be declared, and what happens when something is wrong. On this route the second question is the one that produces the bad weeks, and almost no removals site is organised around it.

So we sort your belongings the way the border sorts them: household effects, restricted items, things we cannot carry, and vehicles. Three of those are ours to handle. One is not ours to carry at all.

The inventory is where the work is

On a domestic move an inventory is a convenience. Here it is the document the whole consignment stands on, and the difference between a routine clearance and a difficult one is almost always the quality of that list.

Numbered, specific, honestly valued, restricted items listed separately rather than buried, and packed so that a package can be opened and closed again. That is most of our job on this route, and it happens before a single thing is loaded.

Where our expertise ends

We want to be plain about this because a firm on this route could easily blur it. We are removals contractors. We are not customs agents, tax advisers or lawyers.

We will not tell you whether you qualify for a relief. We will not tell you what you will pay. We will not give you an opinion on whether importing your car is worth it. Those are questions for the Norwegian customs authority, a customs agent or your own adviser, and we will say so every time rather than guessing helpfully.

What we will do is prepare everything to the standard those people need, work with them directly rather than relaying messages through you, and tell you early when something on your list is going to attract a question.

Where we work

Collecting from: London · Manchester · Birmingham · Leeds · Glasgow · Edinburgh · Bristol · Newcastle · Aberdeen · Sheffield · Nottingham · Cardiff — and elsewhere.

Delivering to: Oslo · Bergen · Stavanger · Trondheim · Kristiansand · Drammen · Fredrikstad · Tromsø · Bodø · Ålesund · Sandnes · Tønsberg — and elsewhere.

One route, both directions of enquiry, and no other destination countries. We would rather do this one properly than list twenty.

What we are not

Not a comparison site, not a lead broker, and not an agent taking a margin on somebody else’s work. We have no awards or press coverage to show you and we are not going to invent any.

Start with what you are sending

What is in the load, where in Norway it is going, and whether there is a vehicle. Those three decide almost everything, and the first two decide the paperwork.
